Who is the course for?

Provides a suitable foundation for the study of Computing or a related area through a range of higher education/vocational courses (e.g. Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering) or direct entry into employment.
In addition, the specification provides a coherent, satisfying and worthwhile course of study for candidates who do not progress to further study in this subject. This subject combines well with other subjects.

 Entry requirements

Candidates ideally should have high grade passes (B grade)  at GCSE or equivalent.

How you will be assessed

At AS Level assessment is via a written examination:
Software System Development, Data and Applications Plus a WJEC set Programming Project (30%).

At Advanced Level Examination:
Software System Development, Data Applications (Advanced) Plus a further programming project (30%).
